The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi has launched a photo donation drive aimed at preserving the institution’s visual history.
The initiative, led by the University Relations Office in partnership with the KNUST Museum, invites students, staff and alumni to submit photographs depicting campus life, academic ceremonies and historic events.
“The drive will help build a curated archive that reflects KNUST’s heritage and evolution,” Emmanuel Kwasi Debrah, Assistant Registrar and Head of Digital Communications, said in a statement.
Photos can be submitted digitally via email or delivered in person to the museum, located at the Prempeh II Library Complex. Selected images will be featured in future exhibitions and contributors will be acknowledged, the university said.
University Relations Officer Dr. Norris Bekoe said the campaign aligns with KNUST’s broader mission to foster institutional pride and preserve its legacy. “We are calling on the entire university community to help us tell our story through images that capture the spirit and milestones of KNUST,” he said.
Director of the KNUST Museum, Prof. Edwin Kwesi Bodjawah, said the project would strengthen community engagement and support the documentation of institutional memory. “This is a vital step in building a living archive that reflects the university’s journey and cultural identity,” he said.
